Haryana govt likely to miss target of vaccinating teachers before Sept 5

Haryana government is likely going to miss the target of vaccination teachers before the September 5 deadline. As we all know that after a long gap due to covid Haryana schools reopened today for Classes 4 and 5. Students will need the written permission of parents to come for physical classes.

Offline classes resumed in the state for students of Classes 9-12 from July 16 and for Classes 6-8 from July 23.

Despite the fact that schools have already reopened in Haryana, 100% of teachers and staff have not been vaccinated. This is proving to be a concern for the Haryana education department.

So far, only 30.92% of the government school staff and teachers have received the first Covid-19 vaccine dose, while 22.80% have received both doses.

This means, 46.28% of the teachers and staff have not received a single vaccination dose till now.

The government has set a target to vaccinate 100% of the school staff by September 5.
